What is needed to use ENCOUNTERSUITE:

  1. Internet connection.  Your office needs a high-speed connection to the internet.  This can be DSL, cable modem, or other high speed offerings.
  2. Wireless or wired connections.  Your office PC’s can be connected to your internet service provider via an in-office wireless access point, or traditional 100baseT connections.  If using wireless, be sure to enable WEP security.
  3. Computers.  The minimal computer requirement for patient use (at home or in the waiting room) is Pentium II 200 MHz with 64Mb of memory. For office users, the recommended minimum is Pentium IV 2 GHz or greater, with 1 GB of memory.
Unlike most EMRs, where physicians must create their own content, there are no templates to create.  Creating templates can be a very time-consuming and daunting process.   ENCOUNTERSUITE is already loaded with extensive content.  This content includes an extensive history and physical, various types of orders and advice, and medication prescriptions.  This means that you do not have to create own content. All a practice needs to do is to sign their personnel into the system, and begin using the system.
