Medical Net Systems physical exam is a powerful tool with enormous flexibility enabling the physician to easily document any finding he or she may encounter. The first time the physician uses the physical exam in a patient, the physical exam displays a normal physical exam.
To document an abnormal finding, the physician simply clicks on the corresponding normal finding ...
which opens a drop down table(s) listing a variety of physical findings.
Then the physician simply selects the abnormal finding(s), which replaces the normal finding.
The finding that was clicked is recorded on the row, and the table can be closed.
With the physical exam, the physician can create physical exam types, defining the systems that are included in a particular physical type.
However unlike rigid physical templates, once a particular physical exam type has been called, the physician can change the organ systems that appear in the physical exam by simply clicking on the relevant organ systems: heart, lung, eye, etc.
On the patient's return visit, the physical exam will contain all the patient's findings documented by the physician during the previous exam. In a similar fashion, any new finding can be recorded by clicking on that finding.
