The assessment and plan module enables you to selectively and comprehensively evaluate a patient's medical condition while minimizing your workload and increasing your efficiency. Here's how:

  • The assessment and plan seamlessly integrates the active problem list with the assessment. By bringing forward all your patient's active problems, the assessment and plan gives you an excellent summary of your patient's medical conditions. These active problems are initially grayed out. By simply clicking on a grayed out problem, you include that problem in the assessment. 
  • The assessment and plan contains a list summarizing the positive findings from the History and Physical. By simply clicking on a finding, you can include that finding in the assessment. This allows a selective yet comprehensive evaluation of the patient.
  • MYFAVORITES increases the physician's efficiency and eliminates redundant tasks. If there is an order or set of orders that you routinely write, you can write order(s) once and save them in MYFAVORITES. Then when you need to write those orders again, you can simply chose them from MYFAVORITES with simple clicks.
    • MYFAVORITES is very versatile. It can be used in the plan's individual components, such as laboratory, advice, radiology, etc. or as the entire plan for a given diagnosis. In addition, MYFAVORITES appends, rather than overwrites existing orders and the orders can be modified after they have been chosen.
  • The assessment and plan is linked to ManageRx , your virtual prescription pad, so that prescriptions can be written directly from The assessment and plan and are recorded in The assessment and plan and ManageRx . Also when the prescription is written through a problem, the problem name is linked to that prescription medication.
  • The assessment and plan is designed to minimize the amount of typing you need to document your encounter. You can compose your assessment by clicking on diagnoses, rule-outs, and secondary diagnoses from a list that is managed by a powerful search engine. In addition, most orders can be stored in MyFavorites and used over and over with a simple click. Finally active problems from previous visits can be included in the present visit simply by clicking on the problem.
