NeaBo Medical Medical Overview     (113 seconds)
We have developed NeaBo Medical, a Patient Engagement Tool, that communicates with your patients. Our customers are organizations that deal with patients and want to improve their patients' health. NeaBo Medicalis a HIPAA compliant web-based platform that communicates with patients in 2 ways.
  • Message course(s). A series of emails or text messages educating the patient about a topic or process. The course can be timed to coincide with the evolution of that process such as pregnancy, or recovering from an injury or surgery.

  • Query module. Question sets are sent to your patients over time. Question sets are generally about a particular problem e.g., diabetes, depression, etc. Screening surveys, e.g., Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale , can be incorporated into the question sets.

The patient responds to the questions on a secure website. Unless the patient is having an issue, he or she will generally answer only one question. When the patient's responses indicate that the patient may be developing an exacerbation, the Query Module warns the health care provider monitor. Question sets can be sent to the patient directly or embedded in message course. A patient can be followed by more than one question set.

    • Early detection enables prevention. Intervening in patients with subtle exacerbations can prevent progression to clinical exacerbations.

  • Synergy between message course and query module. With patient education, patients feel more comfortable about their problems and thus more likely to respond honestly to the questions.

Additional NeaBo Medical features:
  • Immediate Warning. You can designate a specific response or word(s) used by the patient as a trigger for an immediate warning. When a patient selects that response or uses that word, an immediate warning is sent to the monitor within 5 minutes. The purpose is to identify patients who do not realize or are denying the severity of their condition.

  • Response Alert. Response Alerts are the non-emergent equivalent of the Immediate Warning System. When a patient selects pre-disignated responses, alerts appear in the Response Alert Report.

  • Need Specific Real-Time Instructions. When starting a new treatment, describing the post-operative course, or discharging a patient from the emergency room, the health care provider gives the patient an instruction list. These instruction lists are often too long or too short and/or forgotten when needed. Our Need Specific Real-Time Instructions are sent to the patient over time coinciding with the clinical course. Specific instructions are presented based on the patient's responses. Need Specific Real-Time Instructions gives the patient the right instruction(s) at the right time for the right problem.

  • Patient communication. NeaBo Medical has a secure portal where the patient can securely convey his/her fears and concerns and the healthc care monitor can reply.

  • Photo by the Patient. A picture is worth a thousand words. The patient can take photos of an affected area e.g., rash, infected wound, etc. and upload them via NeaBo Medical's secure portal.

  • Daily Check-In. With one button click, your patients can indicate that all is well or not. Great for following patients who just had surgery, a procedure, started a new medication, or have a chronic problem such as pain, congestive heart failure, diabetes, or blood pressure.
